Rate the Coaches on the Hot Seat

Guys, every year we see College football coaches get the ax.

Coaches on the hot seat:
Tommy Bowden, Clemson
Ed Orgeron, Ole Miss
Sly Croom, MSU
Houston Nutt, Ark
Philip Fulmer, UT
Loyd Carr, Michigan

Other coaches on the hot seat? Miles?

Tommy Bowden = 6 of 10; Clemson tired of being average and still haven't lived up to hightened expectations = needs at least 8 wins and to be in close running for division and ACC title

Ed Orgeron = likely 3 or 4 wins this year; likely one more year with Jevon Sneed on the horizon to start in 2008

Sly Croom = definitely one more year barring a 2 win season since we won't have a new AD until June and that too late to hire a new coach

Houston Nutt = great on the field last year but bad year off it; needs at least 8 wins to carry on with last year's momentum; less than 8 and could likely be off to head coach somewhere else

Phillip Fulmer = I think he's gone after a 7 & 5 season this year. UT wants back to national prominence instead of middle of the pack SEC which still just happens to be Top 25.

Lloyd Carr = one more lost to Ohio State and Jim Tressel and he's gone. Highly rated teams that just haven't lived up to the hype. Big 10 title or bust for Michigan this year.

Les Miles = I think LSU's season will secure his job a little bit. Anything less than BCS and LSU fans will be upset. And Don't lose to Bama.

Not sure on other conferences off the top of my head.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful posts with us. Out of all of these coaches, it would be hard to pick a number one out of this list of coaches. Have a great rest of your day and keep up these fantastic posts.
